Dublin’s Freedom Ticket for Public Transport and Sightseeing

The DoDublin Freedom Ticket combines a 72-hour Leap Visitor Card with a 48-hour DoDublin Hop-on Hop-off Tour. It provides unlimited public transport around Dublin, travel from Dublin Airport on selected bus routes and two days of sightseeing aboard Dublin’s No.1 tour.

The included Leap Visitor Card can be used on scheduled Dublin Bus and Go-Ahead Ireland services, the Luas, DART and Commuter Rail within Dublin’s Zone 1 area.

Dublin Airport Bus Routes Included

Your Leap Visitor Card is valid on Dublin Airport bus routes 16, 19, 24, 41 and 102.

• Routes 16, 19, 24 and 41 connect Dublin Airport with Dublin City Centre.
• Route 41 operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
• Go-Ahead Ireland route 102 connects Dublin Airport with Swords, Malahide, Portmarnock, Baldoyle and Sutton DART Station.

Freedom Ticket Redemption

Your DoDublin Freedom Ticket voucher must be redeemed before you can use the Leap Visitor Card or Hop-on Hop-off Tour.

You can redeem your voucher at one of the following locations:

1. Dublin Bus Head Office
   59 Upper O’Connell Street, Dublin 1, D01 RX04
   Monday to Friday: 09:00–17:30
2. Wild Rover Tours
   Unit 3, Stephen Street Lower, Dublin 2, D02 RW74
   Monday to Saturday: 09:00–18:00
   Sunday: 11:00–18:00
3. International Currency Exchange (ICE), Dublin Airport
   Arrivals Hall, Terminal 1 and Terminal 2
   Open daily: 05:00–21:00

Vouchers cannot be redeemed directly on buses, trains or trams, or at any other location.

How Does the Freedom Ticket Work?

The Freedom Ticket includes two separate travel benefits:

• A 72-hour Leap Visitor Card for unlimited public transport in Dublin.
• A 48-hour DoDublin Hop-on Hop-off Tour for sightseeing around the city.

The 72-hour Leap Visitor Card period begins when you first use the card on an included public transport service. Always validate your card correctly when travelling.

Using Your Leap Visitor Card on Buses

When boarding a Dublin Bus or Go-Ahead Ireland service, hold your Leap Visitor Card against the validator on the right-hand side as you enter. A tone will confirm that the card has been validated.

Using Your Leap Visitor Card on the Luas

Tap your card on a platform validator before boarding the Luas. You must tap off at the platform validator after leaving the tram.

Using Your Leap Visitor Card on DART and Commuter Rail

Tap your card on at the station entry gate or platform validator before travelling. You must tap off at the exit gate or validator when you complete your journey. The Leap Visitor Card covers DART and Commuter Rail travel within Dublin’s Zone 1 area.

Services Not Covered by the Leap Visitor Card

The Leap Visitor Card does not cover Dublin Express, Aircoach, Bus Éireann or other commercial and sightseeing services. Your Freedom Ticket separately includes the 48-hour DoDublin Hop-on Hop-off Tour.
