Where Can I Collect My Freedom Ticket?

Your booking voucher must be exchanged for a physical Freedom Ticket before you travel. You can collect your ticket from one of the following locations:

  1. Dublin Bus Head Office

    Monday to Friday: 09:00–17:30
  2. Wild Rover Tours
    Unit 3, Stephen Street Lower, Dublin 2, D02 RW74
    Monday to Saturday: 09:00–18:00
    Sunday: 11:00–18:00
  3. International Currency Exchange (ICE), Dublin Airport
    Arrivals Hall, Terminal 1 and Terminal 2
    Open daily: 05:00–21:00

Freedom Ticket vouchers cannot be exchanged on the bus or at any other location.

• Is the Freedom Ticket the Same as a Visitor Leap Card?

No. The Freedom Ticket is a combined product. It includes a 72-hour Visitor Leap Card for Dublin public transport and a separate 48-hour DoDublin Hop-on Hop-off Tour.

 

• When Does the 72-Hour Visitor Leap Card Period Begin?

The 72-hour period begins when you first use the Visitor Leap Card on an included public transport service, not when you collect the card.

 

• Can I Use the Freedom Ticket from Dublin Airport?

Yes. The included Visitor Leap Card can be used on selected public bus services from Dublin Airport. Your booking voucher must be exchanged for your physical Freedom Ticket before you travel.

 

• Which Dublin Airport Bus Routes Are Included?

The Visitor Leap Card is valid on Dublin Airport routes 16, 19, 24, 41 and 102. Routes 16, 19, 24 and 41 connect the airport with Dublin City Centre. Go-Ahead Ireland route 102 serves Swords, Malahide, Portmarnock, Baldoyle and Sutton DART Station.

 

• Is the Freedom Ticket Valid on Dublin Express or Aircoach?

No. Dublin Express and Aircoach are commercial airport coach services and are not included. The Visitor Leap Card is valid on Dublin Bus and Go-Ahead Ireland airport routes 16, 19, 24, 41 and 102.

 

• Is the Freedom Ticket a Mobile Ticket?

No. You will receive a booking voucher, which must be exchanged for a physical Freedom Ticket before travelling.

 

• Where Can I Collect My Freedom Ticket?

You can exchange your voucher at Dublin Bus Head Office on Upper O’Connell Street, Wild Rover Tours on Stephen Street Lower, or International Currency Exchange in the arrivals halls at Dublin Airport Terminals 1 and 2. Check the collection section above for addresses and opening hours.

 

• Do I Need to Tap On and Off with the Visitor Leap Card?

On Dublin Bus and Go-Ahead Ireland services, tap your card when boarding; you do not need to tap off. On the Luas, DART and Commuter Rail, you must tap on before travelling and tap off after completing your journey.
